Method

Prepare Oysters

  1. 1

    Shuck the Oysters

Carefully shuck the fresh oysters using an oyster knife. Ensure to catch all the juices in the shell.

  2. 2

    Prepare Crab Mixture

In a bowl, mix the crab meat with a little bit of the oyster juice for added flavor. Set aside.

Make Sauce

  1. 3

    Mix Sauce Ingredients

In a small bowl, whisk together the hot honey and sweet tamari until well combined.

Prepare Wonton Chips

  1. 4

    Heat Oil

In a deep frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until hot.

  2. 5

    Fry Wonton Wrappers

Carefully place the wonton wrappers in the hot oil, frying them until they are golden brown and crispy, about 1-2 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Assemble and Serve

  1. 6

    Assemble Oysters

On a serving platter, place the shucked oysters. Top each oyster with a spoonful of the crab mixture.

  2. 7

    Drizzle Sauce

Drizzle the prepared hot honey and sweet tamari sauce over the oysters.

  3. 8

    Serve with Wonton Chips

Serve the oysters with the crispy wonton chips alongside for scooping.
