Lobster Filling

Method

Prepare Lobster Filling

  1. 1

    Chop the Lobster

Place the cooked lobster meat on a cutting board and chop it into bite-sized pieces. Ensure that there are no shells mixed in.

  2. 2

    Combine Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the chopped lobster meat, mayonnaise, lemon juice, finely chopped celery, chopped chives, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until all ingredients are well combined.

  3. 3

    Chill the Mixture

Cover the lobster mixture with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Toast the Rolls

  1. 4

    Melt the Butter

In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter until it is bubbling but not browned.

  2. 5

    Toast the Rolls

Split the New England-style hot dog rolls and place them in the skillet, cut side down. Cook for 2-3 minutes until golden brown and crispy.

Assemble the Lobster Rolls

  1. 6

    Fill the Rolls

Remove the toasted rolls from the skillet and fill each with the chilled lobster mixture, generously heaping it inside.

  2. 7

    Serve

Serve the lobster rolls immediately, garnished with additional chives if desired. Enjoy with sides like potato chips or a fresh salad.
