Method

Shrimp Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Shrimp

In a food processor, combine the shrimp, scallions, ginger, garlic, egg, soy sauce, salt, and pepper. Pulse until the mixture is well combined but still slightly chunky.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Transfer the mixture to a bowl and add the panko breadcrumbs. Mix until just combined. Form the mixture into 4 equal patties.

  3. 3

    Cook the Patties

Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they are golden brown and cooked through.

Spicy Mayo Preparation

  1. 4

    Mix Spicy Mayo

In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, Sriracha sauce, and lime juice until smooth. Set aside.

Umami Mayo Preparation

  1. 5

    Mix Umami Mayo

In another small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, soy sauce, and miso paste until fully combined. Set aside.

Sweet Chili Napa Slaw Preparation

  1. 6

    Prepare the Slaw

In a large bowl, combine the shredded napa cabbage, grated carrot, sweet chili sauce, rice vinegar, and salt. Toss well to combine and let rest for at least 10 minutes.

Assembly

  1. 7

    Assemble the Burgers

Toast the brioche buns if desired. On the bottom half of each bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by a shrimp patty. Top with sweet chili napa slaw and a dollop of spicy mayo and umami mayo. Place the top half of the bun on each and serve immediately.
