Method

Pasta Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Pasta

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta.

Sauce Preparation

  1. 2

    Make the Sauce

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute. Add the halved cherry tomatoes, salt, and black pepper. Cook until the tomatoes begin to soften and release their juices, about 5-7 minutes.

  2. 3

    Combine Pasta and Sauce

Add the drained pasta to the skillet with the sauce. Toss everything together, adding reserved pasta water a little at a time until desired sauce consistency is reached. Stir in the chopped fresh basil and mix well.

Garnishing

  1. 4

    Serve

Plate the pasta and top with grated Parmesan cheese and a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil. Garnish with fresh basil leaves for a vibrant presentation.
