Fettuccine Alfredo Ingredients
Method
Fettuccine Alfredo Directions
- 1
Cook the Pasta
In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the fettuccine pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- 2
Prepare the Sauce
In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not browned.
- 3
Add Cream
Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Let it cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- 4
Incorporate Cheese
Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Add salt and black pepper to taste.
- 5
Combine Pasta and Sauce
Add the cooked fettuccine to the skillet and toss to coat the pasta evenly with the sauce. If the sauce is too thick, you can add a splash of pasta water to loosen it.
- 6
Serve
Serve immediately, garnished with chopped parsley and additional Parmesan cheese if desired.
