Churro Ingredients

Method

Churro Preparation

1

Make the Churro Dough

In a saucepan, combine water, butter, sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Remove from heat and stir in flour until a dough forms. Let it cool slightly.

2

Add Eggs

Gradually add eggs to the dough, mixing well until the dough is smooth and glossy.

3

Heat the Oil

In a deep pan, heat vegetable oil to 375°F (190°C).

4

Pipe and Fry

Transfer the dough to a piping bag fitted with a star tip. Pipe 4-6 inch strips of dough into the hot oil, cutting them with scissors. Fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.

5

Coat with Sugar and Cinnamon

Remove churros from oil and drain on paper towels. While still warm, roll them in a mixture of sugar and cinnamon.

6

Serve with Caramel

Drizzle warm churros with caramel sauce or serve with a side of caramel for dipping.
