Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Clean the Crawfish

Rinse the crawfish under cold running water. Remove any dead crawfish and discard.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Corn and Potato

Peel and chop the potato into quarters. Leave the corn on the cob whole.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Boil the Ingredients

In a large pot, add 4 quarts of water, salt, Cajun seasoning, garlic cloves (smashed), and bay leaves. Bring to a rolling boil.

  2. 4

    Add the Potatoes and Corn

Once the water is boiling, add the chopped potatoes and corn on the cob. Boil for about 15 minutes until the potatoes are tender.

  3. 5

    Add the Crawfish

Add the cleaned crawfish to the pot. Boil for an additional 3-5 minutes until the crawfish turn bright red and are cooked through.

  4. 6

    Finish and Serve

Remove the pot from heat and let it sit for 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. Squeeze lemon juice over the crawfish before serving.
