Crab Cakes

Crab Claws Skewers

Method

Crab Cakes

  1. 1

    Prepare the Mixture

In a bowl, combine the imitation crab meat, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, egg, breadcrumbs, chopped green onions, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated.

  2. 2

    Form the Cakes

Shape the mixture into small patties, about 2-3 inches in diameter. Place them on a plate and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to help them firm up.

  3. 3

    Fry the Crab Cakes

In a frying pan, heat vegetable oil over medium heat. Once hot, carefully add the crab cakes, cooking them in batches if necessary. Fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy. Remove and place on a paper towel to drain excess oil.

Crab Claws Skewers

  1. 4

    Prepare the Skewers

Thread four imitation crab claws onto each skewer. Ensure they are evenly spaced for even cooking.

  2. 5

    Fry the Skewers

In a separate frying pan, heat vegetable oil over medium heat. Once hot, carefully place the skewers in the pan and fry for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they are heated through and slightly crispy. Remove and place on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
