Chicken Strips
Method
Preparation and Cooking
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Start by cutting the chicken breasts into long strips, about 1 inch wide. Pat them dry with a paper towel.
- 2
Set Up Breading Station
In three separate shallow bowls, place the flour in the first bowl, beat the eggs and milk together in the second bowl, and mix the cornstarch, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika in the third bowl.
- 3
Bread the Chicken
Coat each chicken strip in the flour, shaking off excess. Then dip it into the egg mixture, allowing any excess to drip off. Finally, coat it in the cornstarch mixture, pressing lightly to adhere the coating.
- 4
Heat the Oil
In a large frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until hot (about 350°F or 175°C).
- 5
Fry the Chicken Strips
Carefully add the breaded chicken strips in batches to avoid overcrowding the pan. Fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- 6
Drain and Serve
Once cooked, transfer the chicken strips to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
