Method

Steak Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Rub the ribeye steaks with olive oil, then season both sides with garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and fresh rosemary.

  2. 2

    Grill the Steak

Place the seasoned steaks on the grill and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until your desired doneness is achieved. Remove from the grill and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

French Fries Preparation

  1. 3

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel the russet potatoes and cut them into thin strips, about 1/4 inch thick. Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.

  2. 4

    Heat the Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C). You can use a thermometer to check the temperature.

  3. 5

    Fry the Potatoes

Drain and dry the soaked potatoes thoroughly with paper towels. Carefully add the potatoes to the hot oil in small batches. Fry for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.

  4. 6

    Season the Fries

Remove the fries from the oil and drain on a paper towel-lined plate. While still hot, sprinkle with salt to taste.
