Method

Pasta Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Pasta

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fresh pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 2-4 minutes. Drain and set aside, reserving a small cup of pasta water.

Shrimp Scampi Sauce Preparation

  1. 2

Sauté Garlic and Red Pepper Flakes

In a large skillet, melt the butter and olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sautéing for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

  2. 3

    Cook the Shrimp

Add the peeled and deveined shrimp to the skillet. Season with salt and black pepper. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until the shrimp turn pink and are cooked through.

  3. 4

    Deglaze with White Wine

Carefully pour in the white wine, scraping up any bits from the bottom of the skillet. Let it simmer for about 2-3 minutes to reduce slightly.

  4. 5

    Add Lemon Juice and Combine

Stir in the lemon juice and add the cooked pasta to the skillet. Toss everything together, adding a bit of reserved pasta water if necessary to create a sauce.

  5. 6

    Garnish and Serve

Remove from heat and sprinkle with fresh parsley. Serve immediately, garnished with additional parsley if desired.
