Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Prime Rib

Season the prime rib roast with salt and black pepper. Let it sit at room temperature for 30 minutes before cooking.

  2. 2

    Cook the Prime Rib

Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C). Place the seasoned prime rib on a roasting rack in a roasting pan. Roast for 20 minutes, then reduce the temperature to 325°F (163°C) and continue cooking until it reaches your desired doneness (about 1.5 hours for medium rare). Use a meat thermometer for accuracy.

  3. 3

    Rest the Meat

Once cooked, remove the prime rib from the oven and let it rest for at least 20 minutes before slicing.

  4. 4

    Caramelize the Onions

In a skillet over medium-low heat, add a tablespoon of oil and sliced onions. Cook, stirring occasionally, for about 20-30 minutes until the onions are golden brown and caramelized. Season with salt and set aside.

  5. 5

    Prepare the Sliders

Slice the rested prime rib into thin slices. Toast the slider buns if desired. Spread a generous amount of creamy horseradish sauce on the bottom half of each bun.

  6. 6

    Assemble the Sliders

Layer sliced prime rib, caramelized onions, and crumbled blue cheese on each bun. Top with the other half of the slider bun.
