Prepare the Meatball Mixture
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, egg, salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.

Form the Meatballs
Using your hands, form the meat mixture into medium-sized meatballs, approximately 1.5 inches in diameter. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake the Meatballs
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes or until cooked through and browned on the outside.

Cook the Sauce
Add the crushed tomatoes, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper to the saucepan. Bring to a simmer and let cook for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Finish the Sauce
Stir in the chopped fresh basil just before serving to enhance the flavor.

Combine Meatballs and Sauce
Once the meatballs are baked, add them to the marinara sauce and let them simmer together for an additional 5 minutes.

Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese over the meatballs in the sauce. Cover and let cook until the cheese is melted, about 3-5 minutes.

Serve the meatballs with marinara sauce on a plate alongside two pieces of garlic bread.
