Method

Waffle Preparation

  1. 1

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, salt, and granulated sugar. Whisk together until well combined.

  2. 2

    Mix Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.

  3. 3

    Combine Mixtures

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are okay.

  4. 4

    Preheat Waffle Iron

Preheat your Belgian waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions.

  5. 5

    Cook Waffles

Once the waffle iron is heated, lightly grease it with cooking spray or melted butter. Pour the recommended amount of batter (usually about 1 cup) into the waffle iron and close the lid. Cook until golden brown, usually about 4-5 minutes.

  6. 6

    Repeat

Remove the cooked waffles and keep them warm in an oven set to low heat while you repeat the process with the remaining batter.

Cinnamon Honey Butter Preparation

  1. 7

    Mix Butter

In a medium bowl, combine the softened unsalted butter, honey, and ground cinnamon. Use a hand mixer or fork to blend until smooth and creamy.

  2. 8

    Chill

Transfer the cinnamon honey butter to a small dish and refrigerate until ready to serve.

Serving

  1. 9

    Plate the Waffles

Place the cooked waffles on a plate. Top with sliced strawberries, a sprinkle of powdered sugar, and a generous dollop of cinnamon honey butter.

  2. 10

    Add Maple Syrup

Drizzle warm maple syrup over the waffles.

  3. 11

    Serve with Bacon or Sausage

Arrange cooked bacon or sausage on the side. Serve immediately while warm.
