Waffle Preparation

Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, salt, and granulated sugar. Whisk together until well combined.

Combine Mixtures
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are okay.

Preheat Waffle Iron
Preheat your Belgian waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Cook Waffles
Once the waffle iron is heated, lightly grease it with cooking spray or melted butter. Pour the recommended amount of batter (usually about 1 cup) into the waffle iron and close the lid. Cook until golden brown, usually about 4-5 minutes.

Remove the cooked waffles and keep them warm in an oven set to low heat while you repeat the process with the remaining batter.

In a medium bowl, combine the softened unsalted butter, honey, and ground cinnamon. Use a hand mixer or fork to blend until smooth and creamy.

Drizzle warm maple syrup over the waffles.
