Method

Preparation and Cooking

  1. 1

    Prepare the Burger Patty

In a bowl, mix the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Form the mixture into a patty about 1 inch thick.

  2. 2

    Sauté the Mushrooms

In a skillet over medium heat, add a small amount of oil or butter. Once hot, add sliced mushrooms and sauté until golden brown and tender, about 5-7 minutes.

  3. 3

    Cook the Burger

In the same skillet, push the mushrooms to the side and add the burger patty. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip the patty.

  4. 4

    Add Cheese

Top the burger with Swiss cheese and cover the skillet. Cook for another 3-4 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the burger reaches your desired doneness.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Burger

Serve the burger on a bun with the sautéed mushrooms on top. Add any additional toppings if desired.
