Chicken Wings

Method

Prepare the Chicken

  1. 1

    Cut the Chicken

Cut the boneless chicken breast into bite-sized pieces.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Chicken

In a bowl, combine the buttermilk, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Add the chicken pieces and mix until well coated. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

Prepare the Breading

  1. 3

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a separate bowl, combine all-purpose flour and cornstarch.

Fry the Chicken

  1. 4

    Heat Oil

In a deep skillet or frying pan, heat the oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  2. 5

    Bread the Chicken

Remove the chicken from the marinade, allowing excess liquid to drip off. Dredge the chicken pieces in the flour and cornstarch mixture until well coated.

  3. 6

    Fry the Chicken

Carefully place the breaded chicken pieces in the hot oil. Fry in batches for about 5-7 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

Prepare the Sauce

  1. 7

    Melt Butter

In a small saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat.

  2. 8

    Combine Sauce Ingredients

Add the hot sauce, honey, and minced garlic to the melted butter. Stir well and heat until warmed through.

Coat the Chicken

  1. 9

    Toss Chicken in Sauce

In a large bowl, combine the fried chicken pieces with the sauce. Toss until the chicken is well coated.
