For the Sirloin Dip

For the Rosemary Au Jus

Method

For the Sirloin Dip

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Season the French sirloin steak with salt and black pepper on both sides.

  2. 2

    Cook the Steak

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned sirloin steak and sear for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium rare, or until desired doneness is reached.

  3. 3

    Rest and Slice

Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for 5 minutes. After resting, slice the steak thinly against the grain.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Baguette

Slice the baguette horizontally and place the sliced steak inside. Top with Swiss cheese and place in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) until the cheese melts, about 5-7 minutes.

For the Rosemary Au Jus

  1. 5

    Prepare the Au Jus

In a saucepan over medium heat, combine beef broth, fresh rosemary, minced garlic cloves, and Worcestershire sauce.

  2. 6

    Simmer

Bring the mixture to a simmer, then reduce heat and let it cook for about 15 minutes. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

  3. 7

    Serve

Serve the sliced French sirloin dip with melted Swiss cheese alongside a small bowl of rosemary au jus for dipping.
