Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ribs

Preheat your oven to 275°F (135°C). Remove the membrane from the back of the pork ribs for better flavor and tenderness.

  2. 2

    Make the Dry Rub

In a bowl, combine brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper to create the dry rub.

  3. 3

    Apply the Dry Rub

Rub the dry rub mixture generously over both sides of the ribs. Wrap the ribs in aluminum foil.

  4. 4

    Slow Cook the Ribs

Place the wrapped ribs on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours until tender.

BBQ Sauce

  1. 5

    Prepare the BBQ Sauce

In a saucepan, combine ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Cook on medium heat, stirring occasionally, for 10 minutes until the sauce thickens.

  2. 6

    Glaze the Ribs

Remove the ribs from the oven, carefully unwrap them, and brush the BBQ sauce generously over the ribs.

  3. 7

    Finish with Broiling

Place the ribs under the broiler for 5-10 minutes until the sauce caramelizes and becomes sticky. Watch closely to avoid burning.
