Brewing the Tea

Boil the Water
In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil over high heat.

Steep the Tea
Remove the boiling water from heat and add 4 tea bags. Allow the tea to steep for 5-7 minutes, depending on your preferred strength.

Remove the Tea Bags
After steeping, remove the tea bags and discard them. If you prefer sweetened tea, this is the time to add your sweetener.
Sweetening the Tea

Add Sweetener
If desired, stir in 1 cup of granulated sugar, 0.5 cup of honey, or 0.5 cup of agave syrup until fully dissolved in the hot tea.

Cool the Tea
Allow the sweetened tea to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until chilled, about 1-2 hours.
Serving the Iced Tea

Prepare Glasses
Fill 2 glasses with ice cubes and pour the chilled tea over the ice.

Garnish
Add lemon slices and fresh mint leaves to the glasses for garnish, if desired.
