Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Pickles
Drain the dill pickle slices on a paper towel to remove excess moisture. This step helps the breading stick better.
Breading Process
- 2
- 3
Frying
- 4
Heat Oil
In a deep skillet or frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C). You can test the oil by dropping a small piece of bread in it; if it sizzles, it's ready.
- 5
Fry the Pickles
Carefully add the breaded pickle slices to the hot oil in batches, being careful not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until they are golden brown and crispy.
- 6
Drain Excess Oil
Once fried, remove the pickles from the oil using a slotted spoon and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess oil.
Serving
- 7
Serve
Serve the fried pickles warm with ranch dressing on the side for dipping.
