Method
Brewing Coffee
- 1
Grind the Coffee Beans
Using a coffee grinder, grind 0.5 cups of coffee beans to a medium-coarse consistency. This will ensure optimal extraction during brewing.
- 2
Boil the Water
In a kettle, bring 4 cups of fresh water to a boil. If you prefer, you can use filtered water for a cleaner taste.
- 3
Combine Coffee and Water
In a coffee maker or French press, combine the ground coffee with the boiling water. Stir gently to ensure all grounds are saturated.
- 4
Brew the Coffee
Allow the coffee to brew for about 4 to 5 minutes. If using a French press, use the plunger to separate the grounds from the brewed coffee.
- 5
Serve
Pour the freshly brewed coffee into a mug and enjoy it plain or with optional add-ins.
Optional Add-ins
- 6
Add Sugar
If desired, add 1 tablespoon of sugar to your coffee while it is still hot, and stir until dissolved.
- 7
Add Milk
For a creamier texture, add 0.5 cups of milk to your coffee and stir well.
- 8
Add Vanilla Extract
For a hint of flavor, add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract to your coffee and mix thoroughly.
