Method

Preparation and Cooking

  1. 1

    Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and peel the Russet potatoes. Cut them into thin strips, about 1/4 inch thick, and soak them in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.

  2. 2

    Heat the Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C). Make sure there is enough oil to fully submerge the fries.

  3. 3

    Dry the Potatoes

After soaking, drain the potatoes and pat them dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.

  4. 4

    Fry the Potatoes

Carefully add the dried potato strips to the hot oil in batches. Fry them for about 5-6 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy. Remove the fries with a slotted spoon and drain them on paper towels.

  5. 5

    Season the Fries

While the fries are still hot, sprinkle them with sea salt, garlic powder, paprika, black pepper, and dried parsley. Toss gently to coat.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve the fries hot as a delicious side or snack.
