Cooking Directions
Soak Chickpeas
Place the dried chickpeas in a bowl and cover with water. Soak them overnight or for at least 8 hours.
Form the Falafel Balls
Transfer the mixture to a bowl and stir in the flour. Use your hands to form small balls (about 1 inch in diameter) and place them on a plate.
Heat the Oil
In a deep frying pan, heat the oil over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
Fry the Falafel
Carefully drop the falafel balls into the hot oil, frying in batches to avoid overcrowding. Fry them for about 4-5 minutes or until golden brown and crispy on all sides. Remove and drain on paper towels.
Serve
Serve the falafel hot with tahini sauce, pita bread, and fresh vegetables.
