Method
Cooking the Pasta
- 1
Boil the Spaghetti
In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving 1 cup of pasta water.
Making the Sauce
- 2
Sauté Garlic
In a large skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter. Once hot, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- 3
Cook the Shrimp
Add the shrimp to the skillet, season with salt and black pepper, and cook for 2-3 minutes until they turn pink and opaque.
- 4
Add Lemon and Parsley
Stir in the lemon juice, lemon zest, and chopped parsley. Cook for an additional minute to combine the flavors.
- 5
Combine with Pasta
Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet along with the reserved pasta water as needed to loosen the sauce. Toss everything together to coat the spaghetti evenly.
- 6
Finish the Sauce
Remove from heat and stir in the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter until melted. Adjust seasoning if necessary.
