Steak Preparation

Side Preparation (Optional)

Method

Steak Cooking

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steaks

Remove the Omaha Angus steaks from the refrigerator and let them sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes to ensure even cooking.

  2. 2

    Season the Steaks

Rub the steaks with olive oil on both sides. Generously season with kosher salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Press the seasoning into the meat to adhere.

  3. 3

    Preheat the Grill or Pan

Preheat your grill or cast-iron skillet over high heat until it is very hot.

  4. 4

    Cook the Steaks

Place the steaks on the hot grill or skillet. For medium-rare, cook for about 4-5 minutes per side, flipping only once. Adjust cooking time for desired doneness.

  5. 5

    Add Butter and Rosemary

During the last minute of cooking, add butter and fresh rosemary to the pan. Spoon the melted butter over the steaks for extra flavor.

  6. 6

    Rest the Steaks

Remove the steaks from the heat and let them rest for at least 5 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute.

Optional Side Preparation

  1. 7

    Prepare the Asparagus

While the steaks are resting, wash and trim the asparagus.

  2. 8

    Season the Asparagus

Toss the asparagus with olive oil, kosher salt, and black pepper. Ensure they are evenly coated.

  3. 9

    Sauté the Asparagus

In the same skillet used for the steaks (if large enough), add the asparagus and sauté over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes until tender and slightly charred.
