Main Ingredients

Cajun Cream Sauce

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken

Season the chicken breasts with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Allow to marinate for about 15 minutes.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Vegetables

Slice the red and green bell peppers, onion, and tomato into bite-sized pieces. Mince the garlic.

  3. 3

    Cook the Pasta

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the linguine pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Cooking

  1. 4

    Sear the Chicken

In a large skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned chicken breasts and sear for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until fully cooked. Remove from skillet and let rest.

  2. 5

    Cook the Vegetables

In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of butter. Add the sliced onion, red and green bell peppers, and cook for about 5 minutes until softened.

  3. 6

    Make the Cajun Cream Sauce

Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 1 minute. Pour in the heavy cream, stirring constantly. Add the Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Allow the sauce to simmer for 3-4 minutes until thickened.

  4. 7

    Combine Everything

Slice the seared chicken and add it back to the skillet along with the cooked linguine and diced tomato. Toss everything together in the Cajun cream sauce until well coated.

  5. 8

    Serve

Serve hot, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese on top.
