Method

Preparation of Salad Base

  1. 1

    Wash and Chop Lettuce

Rinse the Romaine lettuce under cold water. Remove any wilted outer leaves. Pat dry with a towel and chop into bite-sized pieces.

  2. 2

    Prepare Tomatoes

Wash the Roma tomatoes, cut them in half, and then slice each half into thin wedges.

Making Croutons

  1. 3

    Preheat Oven

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. 4

    Cut Bread and Season

Cut the bread into small cubes (about 1 inch). In a bowl, combine the bread cubes with olive oil, garlic powder, and salt. Toss until the bread is evenly coated.

  3. 5

    Bake Croutons

Spread the seasoned bread cubes on a baking sheet in a single layer. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, or until golden and crispy, tossing halfway through.

Preparing Dressing

  1. 6

    Make the Dressing

In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded Parmesan cheese, mayonnaise, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until smooth and creamy. Adjust seasoning to taste.

Assembling the Salad

  1. 7

    Combine Ingredients

In a large serving bowl, combine the chopped Romaine lettuce, Roma tomato wedges, and croutons.

  2. 8

    Add Dressing

Drizzle the prepared dressing over the salad and toss gently to combine all ingredients evenly.

  3. 9

    Serve

Serve immediately, garnished with additional Parmesan cheese if desired.
