Pasta Preparation
- 1
Cook the Pasta
In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the bowtie pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Chicken Preparation
- 2
Cook the Chicken
While the pasta is cooking, season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Add the chicken breasts and cook for 6-7 minutes per side, or until cooked through and golden brown. Remove from skillet, let rest for a few minutes, then slice into strips.
Broccoli Preparation
- 3
Cook the Broccoli
In the same pot used for the pasta, add the broccoli florets and blanch in boiling water for about 2-3 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp. Drain and set aside with the pasta.
Alfredo Sauce Preparation
- 4
Make the Alfredo Sauce
In the same skillet used for the chicken, melt the remaining butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in the Parmesan cheese, mixing until melted and smooth. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
Combine and Serve
- 5
Combine Everything
Add the drained pasta and broccoli to the skillet with the Alfredo sauce. Toss gently to combine, ensuring everything is coated in the sauce. Add the sliced chicken on top.
- 6
Serve
Serve hot, garnished with additional Parmesan cheese and black pepper if desired.
