Prepare the Beef
- 1
Cook the Ground Beef
In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 5-7 minutes.
- 2
Add Seasoning
Drain excess fat from the skillet, then add the taco seasoning mix and water to the beef. Stir to combine.
- 3
Simmer
Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for an additional 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld and the sauce to thicken slightly.
Assemble the Tacos
- 4
Warm the Taco Shells
If desired, warm the soft taco shells in a dry skillet or microwave for about 30 seconds until they are pliable.
- 5
Fill the Tacos
Spoon an even amount of the seasoned beef mixture into each taco shell.
- 6
Add Toppings
Top each taco with shredded lettuce and shredded cheese. Add sour cream and salsa to taste.
- 7
Serve
Serve immediately while warm, and enjoy your delicious beef tacos!
