Method
Naan Bread Preparation
- 1
Prepare the dough
In a bowl, mix warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Add yogurt, olive oil, and the yeast mixture. Knead until smooth, about 5-7 minutes. Cover and let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- 2
Cook the naan
Preheat a skillet or tandoor over medium-high heat. Divide the dough into balls, roll them out into ovals, and cook each naan for 2-3 minutes per side until golden and puffed. Keep warm while you prepare the toppings.
Walnut & Mushroom Pesto Preparation
- 3
Make the pesto
In a food processor, combine walnuts, chopped mushrooms, garlic, basil, olive oil, and Parmesan cheese. Blend until smooth, adding salt to taste. Adjust oil for desired consistency.
Assembly
- 4
Combine and Serve
Spread a generous amount of walnut and mushroom pesto on each naan. Top with burrata cheese, drizzle with garlic oil, and garnish with fresh herbs. Serve warm.
