Method
Preparation Steps
- 1
- 2
Prepare the Peanut (if using)
If using peanuts, lightly toast them in a skillet over medium heat for about 5 minutes until golden brown.
- 3
Coat the Peanuts
Once the chocolate is melted, dip each peanut into the chocolate, ensuring it's fully coated. Use a fork to lift them out and let excess chocolate drip off.
- 4
Add Candy Shell
Place the chocolate-coated peanuts onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Immediately sprinkle candy shell coating on top while the chocolate is still warm.
- 5
Add Color (if desired)
If you want colored M&M's, you can mix a few drops of food coloring into the melted chocolate before coating the peanuts.
- 6
Let Cool
Allow the M&M's to cool completely at room temperature until the chocolate hardens.
- 7
Store
Once cooled and hardened, store the M&M's in an airtight container at room temperature.
