Chili-Garlic Broccolini
Method
Chili-Garlic Broccolini
- 1
Prepare the Broccolini
Rinse the broccolini under cold water to remove any dirt. Trim about an inch off the ends of the stems to ensure freshness.
- 2
Blanch the Broccolini
Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add the broccolini and blanch for 2 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp. Immediately transfer to an ice bath to stop the cooking process.
- 3
Sauté the Garlic
In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not browned.
- 4
Add Chili Flakes
Stir in the red chili flakes and continue to cook for an additional 30 seconds to release their flavor.
- 5
Combine Ingredients
Add the blanched broccolini to the skillet. Pour in the soy sauce, sprinkle with salt and black pepper, and toss everything together to coat evenly.
- 6
Finish with Lemon and Sesame
Remove from heat and drizzle with lemon juice. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top before serving.
- 7
Serve
Transfer the chili-garlic broccolini to a serving dish and enjoy hot as a side dish or appetizer.
