Method

Preparing the Ribs

  1. 1

    Season the Ribs

In a small bowl, mix together the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Rub this mixture all over the pork ribs to ensure they are evenly seasoned.

  2. 2

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 150°C (300°F).

  3. 3

    Bake the Ribs

Place the seasoned ribs on a baking sheet and cover them tightly with aluminum foil. Bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, or until the ribs are tender.

Making the BBQ Sauce

  1. 4

    Combine Ingredients

In a medium saucepan, combine the ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, mustard, garlic powder, black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper.

  2. 5

    Cook the Sauce

Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Reduce the heat to low and let it cook for about 15-20 minutes until thickened.

Finishing the Ribs

  1. 6

    Glaze the Ribs

Once the ribs are tender, remove them from the oven and discard the foil. Brush a generous amount of BBQ sauce over the ribs.

  2. 7

    Broil

Place the glazed ribs under the broiler for 5-7 minutes, until the sauce is caramelized and bubbly. Keep a close eye to avoid burning.

  3. 8

    Serve

Remove the ribs from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes. Cut into portions and serve with additional BBQ sauce on the side.
