House-made Pickles

Prepare the Pickles
In a medium bowl, combine the water, white vinegar, sugar, and salt. Stir until the sugar and salt are dissolved.

Slice the cucumber into thin rounds and add them to the bowl along with the garlic cloves and dill.

Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before using. For best flavor, let sit overnight.

Prepare the Patty Mixture
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.

Mix gently until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape into patties about ¾ inch thick.
Cooking the Burger

Flip the patties and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until they reach your desired doneness.
Assembling the Burger

On the bottom half of each bun, place a few leaves of lettuce.

Once the patties are cooked, place one patty on each bun.

Top each patty with slices of tomato, onion, and a generous amount of house-made pickles.

Place the top half of the brioche bun on each burger and serve immediately.
