Buttermilk Biscuit

Method

Eggs

  1. 1

    Prepare the Eggs

Crack the two eggs into a bowl. Add salt and black pepper to taste, then whisk gently.

  2. 2

    Cook the Eggs

In a non-stick skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Pour the eggs into the skillet. Cook until the edges start to set, then gently stir with a spatula until the eggs are cooked to your preference (sunny-side up, scrambled, etc.). Remove from heat.

Bacon

  1. 3

    Cook the Bacon

In a separate skillet, cook the bacon strips over medium heat until crispy. Flip occasionally to ensure even cooking. Once done, remove from the skillet and place on a paper towel to drain excess fat.

Buttermilk Biscuit

  1. 4

    Prepare the Biscuit Dough

In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

  2. 5

    Add Buttermilk

Make a well in the center of the mixture and pour in the buttermilk. Stir until just combined; do not overmix.

  3. 6

    Shape the Biscuits

Turn the dough onto a floured surface and gently knead it a few times. Pat the dough to about 1-inch thickness. Cut out biscuits using a biscuit cutter or a glass.

  4. 7

    Bake the Biscuits

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Place the biscuits on a baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
