    Prepare the Marinade

    In a bowl, mix together the sesame oil, soy sauce, minced garlic, black pepper, and salt.

    Marinate the Tuna

    Place the tuna steaks in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

    Prepare the Sesame Coating

    Spread the sesame seeds on a plate. After marinating, remove the tuna steaks from the marinade and press both sides into the sesame seeds to coat.

    Sear the Tuna

    Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and add a little sesame oil. Sear the tuna steaks for about 1-2 minutes on each side for rare, or longer depending on your desired doneness.

    Serve

    Remove the tuna from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes. Slice the tuna and serve it garnished with chopped green onions.
