Directions
- 1
Prepare the mixture
In a large bowl, gently combine the crab meat, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, chopped celery, and green onions. Mix until well combined.
- 2
Add the binding ingredients
Add the beaten egg and breadcrumbs to the mixture. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Gently fold the ingredients together until just combined, being careful not to break up the crab meat too much.
- 3
Shape the cakes
Form the mixture into patties about 3 inches in diameter. Place them on a plate and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to help them set.
- 4
Fry the crab cakes
Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, carefully add the crab cakes, cooking in batches if necessary. Fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.
- 5
Serve
Remove the crab cakes from the skillet and drain on paper towels. Serve immediately with your choice of dipping sauce.
