Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Pork Chops

Season the pork chops with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Dredge each chop in flour, shaking off the excess.

  2. 2

    Fry the Chops

In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the pork chops and fry until golden brown on both sides, about 4-5 minutes per side. Remove the chops and set aside.

  3. 3

    Make the Gravy

In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent. Stir in the chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.

  4. 4

    Combine and Simmer

Add the heavy cream and Worcestershire sauce to the skillet. Return the pork chops to the skillet, spooning some gravy over the chops. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes.

  5. 5

    Serve

Garnish with fresh parsley and serve the smothered pork chops hot with the gravy over rice or mashed potatoes.
