Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).

Prepare the Bread
Tear the stale bread into small pieces and place them in a large mixing bowl.

Melt the White Chocolate
In a small saucepan, gently melt the white chocolate over low heat. Once melted, remove from heat and let cool slightly.

Combine Liquid Ingredients
In another bowl, whisk together the milk, heavy cream, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.

Mix Everything Together
Pour the melted white chocolate into the liquid mixture and stir well. Then pour the mixture over the torn bread and let it soak for about 15 minutes.

Add Cherries and Almonds
Gently fold in the halved cherries and sliced almonds into the soaked bread mixture.

Prepare Baking Dish
Grease a baking dish with butter and pour the bread pudding mixture into it.

Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden and the pudding is set.

Cool and Serve
Allow the budino di pane to cool slightly before serving. It can be enjoyed warm or at room temperature.
