Preparation of Ginger-Lime Mix

Prepare Ginger-Lime Mix
Peel and slice the fresh ginger root into small pieces. In a small saucepan, combine the ginger with 1 cup of water and bring to a boil. Let it simmer for 10 minutes to extract the flavors. Strain the mixture to remove the ginger pieces and return the liquid to the saucepan.

Add the fresh lime juice and simple syrup to the ginger-infused water. Stir well to combine. Allow the mixture to cool to room temperature before using it in the cocktail.
