- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure it’s hot when the cookies are ready to bake.
- 2
Mix Dry Ingredients
In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- 3
Cream Butter and Sugars
In a large mixing bowl, beat the unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
- 4
Add Eggs and Vanilla
Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then, mix in the vanilla extract until fully combined.
- 5
Combine Mixtures
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing on low speed until just combined. Do not overmix.
- 6
Fold in Chocolate Chips
Gently fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
- 7
Scoop and Bake
Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop rounded balls of dough onto a lined baking sheet, about 2 inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
