Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Brisket

Preheat your smoker or oven to 225°F (107°C). Trim excess fat from the brisket.

  2. 2

    Make the Rub

In a bowl, mix together the smoked paprika, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Rub this mixture all over the brisket.

  3. 3

    Smoke or Roast the Brisket

Place the brisket in the smoker or oven. Cook for about 1 hour per pound, or until the internal temperature reaches 195°F (90°C).

  4. 4

    Add Moisture

During cooking, spritz the brisket with a mixture of beef broth and apple cider vinegar every hour.

  5. 5

    Rest the Brisket

Once cooked, remove the brisket from heat and let it rest for at least 30 minutes before slicing.

  6. 6

    Serve

Slice the brisket against the grain and serve with barbecue sauce on the side.
