Method

Cooking the Meats

  1. 1

    Cook the Sausage

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium heat. Place the jalapeno cheddar sausage links on the grill or in the skillet. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally, until the sausages are browned and cooked through.

  2. 2

    Reheat the Brisket

If using leftover smoked brisket, slice it into thin strips. Place the brisket in a microwave-safe dish and cover with a damp paper towel. Microwave on high for 1-2 minutes, or until heated through. Alternatively, you can warm it up on the grill for a few minutes.

Assembling the Sandwich

  1. 3

    Prepare the Bun

Slice the pretzel bun in half horizontally. If desired, lightly toast the cut sides on a grill or skillet for 1-2 minutes until golden brown.

  2. 4

    Layer the Meats

On the bottom half of the pretzel bun, place the cooked jalapeno cheddar sausage first, followed by the warmed smoked brisket.

  3. 5

    Add Toppings

Evenly distribute the chopped lettuce over the brisket. Drizzle the white sauce, sweet sauce, and hot sauce over the top of the lettuce.

Finishing Touch

  1. 6

    Complete the Sandwich

Place the top half of the pretzel bun on the sandwich to finish. Press down lightly to secure the layers.
