Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ribs

Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs for better flavor absorption. Rinse the ribs under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.

  2. 2

    Mix the Dry Rub

In a small bowl, combine salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and brown sugar. Mix well to create a dry rub.

  3. 3

    Season the Ribs

Rub the dry mixture evenly over both sides of the ribs, ensuring they are well coated. Let the ribs sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes to absorb flavors.

Cooking

  1. 4

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).

  2. 5

    Wrap the Ribs

Place the seasoned ribs on a large piece of aluminum foil. Wrap them tightly, making sure to seal the edges to keep the moisture in.

  3. 6

    Bake the Ribs

Place the wrapped ribs on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, until the ribs are tender.

  4. 7

    Glaze with BBQ Sauce

Remove the ribs from the oven and carefully unwrap the foil. Brush the BBQ sauce generously over the top of the ribs.

  5. 8

    Broil for Finish

Turn the oven to broil and place the ribs back in the oven for an additional 5-10 minutes, until the sauce is caramelized and bubbly.

  6. 9

    Rest and Serve

Remove the ribs from the oven and let them rest for about 10 minutes before cutting into portions. Serve with extra BBQ sauce on the side.
