Preparing the Ribs

  1. 1

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). This low temperature will allow the ribs to cook slowly and become tender.

  2. 2

    Season the Ribs

In a small bowl, mix together garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Rub the olive oil over the ribs and then coat them evenly with the seasoning mixture.

  3. 3

    Bake the Ribs

Place the seasoned ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil. Cover with another piece of foil and bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, until the meat is tender.

  4. 4

    Apply BBQ Sauce

Remove the ribs from the oven, discard the top layer of foil, and brush the BBQ sauce over the ribs. Return to the oven uncovered and bake for an additional 30 minutes to caramelize the sauce.

Preparing the Sides

  1. 5

    Cook the Corn

While the ribs are baking, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the corn on the cob and cook for 7-10 minutes until tender. Drain and set aside.

  2. 6

    Make the Coleslaw

In a large bowl, combine coleslaw mix, mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and black pepper. Toss until well combined and refrigerate until ready to serve.

Serving

  1. 7

    Plate the Dinner

Once the ribs are done, slice them into portions and serve with corn on the cob and coleslaw on the side.

  2. 8

    Garnish

Finely chop fresh parsley and sprinkle over the ribs for a fresh garnish.
