Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Ribs
Start by removing the membrane from the back of the pork ribs using a sharp knife. This helps the ribs to become tender and absorb more flavor.
- 2
Make the Dry Rub
In a bowl, mix together the brown sugar, paprika, black pepper, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper until well combined.
- 3
Apply the Dry Rub
Generously coat both sides of the ribs with the dry rub mixture. Wrap the ribs in plastic wrap and let them marinate in the fridge for at least 1 hour, or preferably overnight.
Cooking
- 4
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 275°F (135°C).
- 5
Bake the Ribs
Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil, meat side up. Cover them tightly with another piece of foil and bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, or until the ribs are tender.
- 6
Prepare the BBQ Sauce
While the ribs are baking, combine ketchup, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, honey, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until heated through and slightly thickened.
