Grilled Cheese Sandwich

Method

Grilled Cheese Sandwich

  1. 1

    Prepare the Bread

Take 4 slices of bread and lay them out on a clean surface.

  2. 2

    Add Butter

Spread 1 tablespoon of butter evenly on one side of each slice of bread.

  3. 3

    Assemble the Sandwich

Place 2 slices of cheddar cheese between 2 slices of bread, ensuring the buttered sides are facing out.

  4. 4

    Grill the Sandwich

In a skillet over medium heat, place the sandwich and cook for 2-3 minutes until golden brown. Flip and grill the other side for another 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted.

  5. 5

    Serve

Remove the sandwich from the skillet, slice in half, and set aside.

Fries

  1. 6

    Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and peel 2 medium potatoes. Cut them into thin strips to resemble fries.

  2. 7

    Heat the Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat 2 cups of vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

  3. 8

    Fry the Potatoes

Carefully add the potato strips to the hot oil in batches to avoid overcrowding. Fry for about 5-7 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy.

  4. 9

    Drain and Season

Using a slotted spoon, remove the fries from the oil and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil. Sprinkle with 1 teaspoon of salt while they are still hot.

  5. 10

    Serve

Serve the fries hot alongside the grilled cheese sandwich.
