For the Garlic Cheese Bread

Prepare the Garlic Butter
In a small bowl, combine softened unsalted butter, minced garlic (4 cloves), chopped parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are incorporated.

Prepare the Bread
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Cut the French bread loaf in half lengthwise. Place the halves on a baking sheet, cut side up.

Add Cheese
Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese and parmesan cheese evenly on top of the garlic buttered bread.

Bake the Bread
Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the edges of the bread are golden brown.

Slice and Serve
Once baked, remove from the oven, let cool slightly, then slice into pieces and serve warm.

Season the Sauce
Add dried oregano, dried basil, sugar, salt, and pepper to taste. Stir to combine all ingredients.

Simmer the Sauce
Reduce heat to low and let the sauce simmer for about 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally until thickened.

Serve the Sauce
Once the sauce has thickened, remove from heat and serve warm alongside the garlic cheese bread.
