Method

Preparation of the Burger

  1. 1

    Prepare the Beef Patties

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Mix gently until the seasoning is evenly distributed.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the beef mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties, making a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent them from puffing up while cooking.

Cooking the Burger

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill or Skillet

Heat a grill or a skillet over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes until hot.

  2. 4

    Cook the Patties

Place the patties on the grill or skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes on one side. Flip the patties and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C) for medium doneness.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 5

    Prepare the Toppings

While the patties are cooking, wash the lettuce leaves and slice the tomato and onion into thin rings.

  2. 6

    Assemble the Burger

Spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of each burger bun. Place a cooked beef patty on top, followed by a lettuce leaf, a slice of tomato, and some onion rings. Top with the other half of the bun.
