Ingredients for Hamburger Patty

Ingredients for Hamburger Assembly

Method

Directions for Hamburger Patty

  1. 1

    Prepare the Beef Mixture

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Use your hands to gently mix the ingredients until just combined. Avoid overmixing to keep the patties tender.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the beef mixture into two equal portions and shape each portion into a patty about ¾ inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent them from puffing up while cooking.

  3. 3

    Cook the Patties

Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness, or until your desired level of doneness is reached. If adding cheese, place a slice on each patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.

Directions for Hamburger Assembly

  1. 4

    Prepare the Buns

While the patties are cooking, slice the burger buns in half if they are not pre-sliced. You can lightly toast them on the grill or in a toaster for added texture.

  2. 5

    Assemble the Burger

Place a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun. Top with the cooked patty, followed by a slice of tomato. Add ketchup and mustard to taste, then place the top half of the bun to complete the burger.

  3. 6

    Serve

Serve the hamburgers immediately with your favorite side dishes, such as fries or a salad.
